Participant #1: Hello, Cupcake, It's Me, a podcast with your host, Michael Peterson. Hey, everyone, Michael here with Hello, Cupcake, It's Me, a podcast. And today is June 30, 2022. How are you? And welcome to episode 31. So oh, man, trivia night. This night, we got our butts handed to us, but just narrowly. We were neck and neck with this other bar. And considering that we only had six people playing versus probably an entire bar full of people, I think we still did pretty well. But it is still a bit of a kick to the balls that we lost. And so I don't know how this is going to fare for us in the overall scheme of things, but we had two or three weeks of a win and one loss, so we'll see what happens. But right now, oh, my gosh, guys, I did not have a good night's sleep last night, actually, mainly toward the earlier morning. Got up at 530 and went to the restroom and got back into bed and just had shitty dreams from 530 to about 7730 when I finally woke up. And I don't know why I was dreaming of the things that I was dreaming. Like, why does anyone ever dream the things that they dream, right? But it was just bringing up a lot of childhood trauma and future fears and stuff like that and just kind of rolling it all into one and like, my thoughts and feelings didn't matter, and how I felt powerless and how I felt as a child being powerless, and just all this stuff. And some of the things that a lot of the visual representations in the dream were, like, of situations that happened when I was a younger kid and as a teenager and just dealing with some of that bullshit. And I woke up just feeling mad, sad and just sick. So I don't know what it's all about, but it's definitely taking a toll on me. And later on today, because it's nicer out, my sister and I might be going to the lake, and I'm hoping that I'm able to get some more rest before heading out there, because with the way that I feel right now, I really don't want to do much of anything. But that aside, since today is June 30, that means that we are ending Pride Month. And if you've had any chance to head over to the YouTube channel to see my videos that I did over there for Pride Month, thank you. And I'm sorry I didn't get as many done as I had hoped to do, so but life and everything just kind of got in the way of me being able to sit down and record. If I do it again next year, I will definitely try to figure something out, like maybe even hire a voice actor to read some of the script or whatever, instead of me trying to fumble through it and use AI generated script readers. Participant #1: Yeah, this Pride month kind of seemed to be very sporadic. Like in the years prior, there was a lot of build up and anticipation and just like, yeah, about it. This time around, not so much. It was more of a like, oh yeah, let's throw this together, last moment type of a thing. Or at least that's how I felt anyways. But it was still really awesome to see the different things happening around town and around the country and just having that month to celebrate Pride and celebrate diversity and celebrate everything and then to have Road versus Wade overturned that protected the gay rights and marriage and all this other stuff. It's like, well, fuck if that's not a double back slap. So I couldn't seriously see legislation coming down the pipeline that dissolves gay marriage and takes away a lot of the LGBTQ rights and workplace discriminations and stuff like that. And I particularly worry about the trans people within the community because Roe versus Wade protected a lot of those laws that protect trans people. Kind of a slippery slope that we're going down right now. And I think that it's interesting that places like Canada and some other countries, even Mexico, is offering people like passage to come and stay in their country. And I'll be honest, people, I seriously thought about jumping ship while we are still somewhat free to move around the country and come and go from the country as we please. I don't know exactly where I would go. I've been to Victoria, Canada, and that's kind of pretty and it reminds me a lot of Orange County there in California but never really had much of a draw or desire to go to Canada or at least to live there. I like the fact that they have a national health system and I like some of their customs, but for the most part I probably would jump ship and go to the UK and go live over in London, England, just somewhere in England or even maybe over in France. But I don't know that's the dreams of somebody who is a lot younger than me and who also has money. I know that there are programs that you can use to get into those places as like a indigenous nomad or something like that I think is what they call it. But whatever. So yeah, Participant #1: getting back to the whole YouTube thing, I really do hope that you had a chance to go check it out and would go over and look at it if you haven't done so already. So that's Youtube.com. Hellocupcake, it's me. And there's a community forum over there and everything. Go join and check out some of my videos and on the community tab, like say, hey, give me a little shout out, let me know what kind of content you would like for me to see, what kind of content you would like for me to create and if there's any special kind of video, or if you have a question and you want me to create a video around that question, I can do that too. Again, that is YouTube. Comhookitsme. So, in other news, there is something really kind of interesting getting ready to happen July 5. They are turning on the CERN Hydrant Collider, and they are putting it at almost full power to see what they can do. And it's been talked about on the internet like that they're trying to open up an interdimensional doorway, that they're trying to do all this other stuff. Now, if you remember back in 2012, that's the first time that CERN went online, and a lot of people said that that's when the universe had ended. And by what I mean by the universe ending, there's a Mandela. We have these things called Mandela effects. Now, if you're not very well versed in the subject. But they said that when the CERN turned on in 2012, that it briefly opened this little breach and we saw all this weird stuff happening. And at that point that it destroyed the universe. And what happened was because you cannot destroy energy or whatever, Participant #1: that we merged with the universe that's right next door to us. And that in the merging of said universes, we lost some things and we gained some things. And some of the things that we lost in gain were they're being coined Mandela effects. So, like, do you remember Snow White? And when the evil queen goes up to the mirror, what does she say? Some people say that it's mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? And other people say Participant #1: it's magic. Mirror on the wall, who's the first of them all? But if you go if you're from the old universe, you remember it as mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the first of them all? In the old universe, forest comes famous quote on there besides Run Jenny or whatever. Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Or life is a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. So in the old universe, it was stated, mama always said, life is like Participant #1: a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. It also happened with our corporations and their mascots, like Kellogg's Raisin Brand. Do you remember the sun having sunglasses? Or have you always known the sun not to have sunglasses? And in the old universe, the Raisin Brand box always had sunglasses, and the new universe doesn't have sunglasses. So it's really kind of weird and interesting to see if all of this is true. That in 2012, that's kind of like when things went haywire. And we all have said that things just don't feel right. And a lot of that is like the older versions of ourselves in this new universe trying to stumble our way through life. Check it out, though. Mandela effects and the 2012 CERN, C-E-R-N collider, the God particle, all that other stuff. It's really interesting. A very, very, very deep rabbit hole and a little bit of conspiracy theories. It's definitely worth a small plunge, but make sure that you anchor yourself because you can, like I said, go very deep down that rabbit hole Participant #1: and other things happening in entertainment. Only Murders in the Building came on for its second season and guys, I am so here for it. I freaking love that show. It is funny, it is witty, it is engaging. Like, who would have thought that Steve Martin and Martin Short and Selena Gomez would have just worked so well together? It's very cohesive and just a fun storyline. It's about these three people who had a murder happen in the building and they started making a podcast and it became insanely wild and they created a whole new genre called live streaming podcast. And it was just really kind of fun. Really just really good. So if you haven't seen it yet, it's on Hulu and I highly recommend that. So anyways, I think I'm going to call it good.
