Participant #1: You are listening to Hello, Cupcake, it's Me, a podcast with your host, Michael Peterson. Hey, everyone. Michael here with Hello, Cupcake, it's me. And today is the Wednesday check in. It is March 2, 2022. And how are you? If you haven't done so already, please hit like and subscribe and make sure that if you're listening on the podcast that you go through and you hit like and subscribe over there and let's get going, shall we? So the last few days, still dealing with some depression, still having to really kind of fight to do much of anything in my life right now. And that's been really rather difficult. And I'm hoping and I'm praying that today is going to be one of those days where everything just turns out okay because today is the day that I go and pick up Bella's Ashes from the veterinarian. And I got a new necklace. And for those of you who are watching the YouTube right now, this necklace here on the front of it says Bella. And then on the back of it has a picture of her engraved on it. And a girlfriend of mine, Carmen, got it for me. And Participant #1: yeah. So when I get her Ashes back today, I'm going to fill it up with some of her Ashes. And that way I always have her with me. And then I have another earned necklace that I'm going to put on here. That is my dad. So that they are both just there together. It was kind of an emotional day when Carmen gave this to me, and I was, like, really painful and happy that she has. So, yeah, I don't know if you can hear, like, bells in the background or not, but if he can, I'm sorry. That is the new cat, Bernardo. I woke him up and so now he's in the hallway playing with his toys. I'm going to leave a little video snippet of him. So anyways, yeah, Participant #1: just chugging along outside of that, trying to really build up the podcast, as well as getting some more content put together for the blog, for the podcast, looking into doing some new things with the YouTube channel here. And I would really like the community participation. Like, what kind of stuff do you want to see? What do you want? Hello, Cupcakes. Need to be in the future and just like, throw out some general ideas. It would be really amazing. And I'll do my best to try to implement those. Let's see. So moving on from there, Participant #1: getting into the mental health aspect of it, what do you guys do for yourself when you start getting upset and sad and depressed and things like that? Me, I delve into comedy. Like, I try to watch a lot of stand up or watch really funny movies or watch cartoons like The Simpsons or Family Guy, American dad. Those type of cartoons just try to zone out some. And that's kind of what I've been doing lately is just zoning out on The Simpsons. Thank God for Disney plus for having every episode of The Simpsons on there. The only thing that they don't have on there is like the original skits from The Tracy Allman show, but above that, they've got pretty much everything on there. One of my absolutely stupid guilty pleasure movies is Zoolander. I don't know why I like Zoolander so much, but I do. And it's like one of the very few movies that Ben Steeler has done that I really enjoy. A Night at the Museum series is a really good movie series that I enjoy of his and Zoolander. Not Zoolander too, as much, but just like Zoolander. So when I'm starting to get depressed and whatever, that's what I do, I just jump into things that I know that will make me happy. So, yeah, I'd really love to hear from you. What do you do for your own health care when that happens? Also in other news this weekend is the release of The Batman with Robert Pattinson in it, and I'm really excited about it. I'm hoping that he does a good job as Batman. Not my first choice of a Batman, but I didn't think that Ben Affleck was going to do all that well either, but he surprised me. So I'm just kind of hoping for the best here. And I think I heard somewhere in the rumor mill that there was going to be a Batman beyond, and I'm really excited for that. If there is a Batman beyond Toby Maguire, not Maguire. Mcginnis was always one of my favorite Batman characters. I'm not going to nerd out too much right now, but I just have hope for that. So, yeah, kind of excited for that. And April 1 is when Morbius is supposed to be coming out now, and at this point, I don't even know. I'm not holding my breath for an actual release date of Morbidus because that was supposed to be out. What was it like, January 7. Then they moved it January 27, then they moved it to February 27, now it's April 1. I'm just like, whatever, this movie had better be damn good. And if you can't tell, I'm a huge nerd when it comes to that stuff. And I love going to the movies, even though it's something that I have to seriously budget for. But I belong to the Regal Rewards Club membership, so if there's a movie coming out that I really want to see that I just don't have the money for, I usually have enough points saved up that I can get myself a ticket. It might not be opening day, but I do get to go see it and have a ticket to see it, and that's something else. Like, I have a lot of people asking me how I survive on such little money, and I coupon a lot. I might not physically clip coupons, but every grocery store that I shop at, like Walgreens is one of them that has amazing deals. Kroger, Safeway, and I'll even clip coupons for WinCo too, Because WinCo accepts competitor coupons as well. Participant #1: I always look for the best deal possible, And I'm not really brand loyal, brand specific when it comes to say, like, toothpaste or shampoo and conditioner and stuff like that. So with the Walgreens app, I will open it up and I will see that. Oh, okay. If I buy three gardener haircare products, I will get two of a different type of product for free. I'm using that as an example. And then with the Walgreens rewards cash that they give you or whatever, every purchase builds up to that. And so there's months where I'll need toilet paper And I'll go to Walgreens and pick the toilet paper that I need and want and just walk up, give them my rewards card number, and it's completely free. I've done that with laundry detergent. I've done that with shampoo and conditioner. I've done that with toothpaste and just whatever. So that's kind of how I live and how I get by is I just look for the best possible deal. And a lot of times if I'm in Kroger or Safeway, I will open up one of their apps and say, like, I need to buy cat litter. I'll open up the app and I'll see what they have in terms of coupon, and then I'll Select that coupon. So then when I go through and I put in my rewards number, I can automatically get that discount. And if you want me to do a video or podcast more on that, Let me know that one will probably be scripted Because there's a lot of information that goes into it. I'm not one of those super coupon or people where they go through and they can have, like, 200 baskets filled to the brim and, like, the store owes them $52. So, yeah, just let me know if that's something that you all are interested in. But yes, for now, I think I'm going to go ahead and let you guys go.
